The current majority on the Widefield District 3 school board have made hateful comments about Special Education students, about LGBTQ+ people, and about social-emotional learning. This group of board members infamously had a clandestine meeting at IHOP in Fountain. These school board members have also expressed support for the extremist group, Moms for Liberty, and they are in a position to deprive Widefield students of access to important resources and services.

These Widefield board members are part of a movement that seeks to privatize education. The U.S. education market alone represents trillions of dollars in potential revenue for the billionaires who fund many school board candidates. These forces threaten our entire community and the very future of public education.

The Widefield community must act now to show these board members that the community is pushing back against their undemocratic and hateful views. We are gathering signatures to support this petition, which will be presented at a school board meeting in October. We must not allow Widefield to be taken over by billionaire-funded activists like the Woodland Park school board has experienced. Sign this petition to support our Demand for Inclusive Education. Support Widefield students!
